I recently rec’d a dozen stamps from my aunt who has moved on to something different. I have never incorporated stamping in my scrapbooking. Looking for any tips/techniques. Thanks!
I have used them to create a background on solid color cardstock.
For scrapbooking I like to emboss the image, it seems to show up better.
Try you public library. Mine has several books on stamping, scrapbooking and paper crafts. don’t forget to check the magazine section. You should be able to check out old issues

Sure. I love scrapbooking. My sisters-in-law and I get together once a month at our local Archivers to do Scrap Mania. We also take their different classes. In fact I am going to 2 classes this week.
This video is for beginner scrapbookers and it explains basic hand-stiching. Sewing is a very easy and inexpensive way to embellish your scrapbooking layouts.

There’s a big difference… which do you do?
I do both and also what I call travel journals that are sort of a combination of a photo albumn and scrapbook. I’ve travelled extensively and just cannot bear to throw away anything I’ve picked up along the way. So, I keep concert, museum, castle, ticket stubs, beautiful bills from the hotels, wine labels and corks, postcards, even the little paper they put under coffee cups in Europe. I write in the journal while I am on the trip and then leave several pages blank to collage my findings once I get home. Since most scrapbooks are too large to keep in my carryon, I use the blank books found at stationery and bookstores.
But, then I ususally have a lot of photos which I sort into ones for the photoalbumn and one for the scrapbook. The scrapbook is more for public view on my coffeetable and the photoalbumn is more personal for me and my hubby to enjoy, but doesn’t have photos of wide enough interest to anyone else but us! (Like my hubby’s obsession with taking pictures of doors and balconies all over the world.)
Just a few bits I collected this week:-)
